Job Description: You'll be a part of the EMEA Marketing team at Shopify, and part of an in-house Experiential Marketing team focused on creating best-in-class event experiences for enterprise audiences.
If you are someone who craves challenges and would love to single-handedly drive event strategies, activation plans, execute and localize proprietary event franchises for regional markets; then this role is for you. The role may require frequent travel throughout EMEA and occasionally internationally.
Responsibilities:
Understanding of market positioning and how to work within brand guardrails while catering to local markets. This includes staying informed by building strong relationships with marketing, sales, business development, partnerships and merchants to better inform event decisions.Must be able to develop and execute logistics for each event, from initial planning to onsite event management and post-event follow up/de-briefs.Strong prioritization skills required - need to be able to work across multiple different events per month with varying budgets, timelines and size.Negotiate contracts and manage 3rd party vendors including off-site venues, AV suppliers, caterers and others.Maintain accuracy and accountability of event budget, manage final billing and reconciliation, evaluate results against goals, deliver wrap-up reports, and generate learnings for improvement.Demonstrate leadership skills with strong ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritizing tasks.Resourceful, tenacious and positive can-do attitude. Able to make quick, educated decisions when thrown event challenges. Qualifications:
Around 5 years of Event Marketing experience and proven abilities in being able to scope, plan, and deliver multiple events at once, with varying deliverables and timelines.Experience working with cross-functional teams, building strong rapport and partnerships.Strong project management and communication skills are essential.Proven ability managing multiple stakeholders in different geographies.Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in an incredibly fast-paced environment.Being intentional and adapting on the fly.Proficient in switching between high-level strategic thinking and detail-oriented work.Flexibility in your work schedule. This role will require someone that can work flexible hours and this role is not a traditional 9 am to 5 pm. Additional Information
