.Job Description : An opportunity for an Avionics Surveillance System Engineer has arisen within the Avionics-Surveillance domain at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. Task and Responsibilities : The successful applicant will join the group in charge of Surveillance Systems dealing with Enhanced Vision (HUD, HMD, EFVS, SVS), Anti-collision (TCAS, XPDR), Military Identification (IFF), Terrain Awareness (TAWS), Weather Radar (WxR) and Emergency Locators (ELT) across all Airbus Defence and Space program lines. Surveillance Domain is nowadays twisted for many innovations emerging from trend like digitalization & autonomy as well as to keep Safety and Security at the highest level. Our purpose is to provide better Identification & Situation Awareness capabilities that meets operators' needs by developing state of the art Surveillance Arquitectures & Capabilities, while contributing to Environmental Sustainability. As a successful candidate you will participate in the technical design and the development of Surveillance Systems. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include : Support feasibility studies for new products / user needs, etc. Allocate these requirements to the Avionics / Surveillance System Requirement Management; Creation and maintenance of the RVTM Define the Architecture and Specifications of the Avionics / Surveillance System Elaborate engineering design documentation Support test campaign sequencing, test procedures & facilities. Perform analysis of test results. Release test analysis & correlation reports after test completion. Be responsible for Avionics / Surveillance Systems integration activities Support the whole design process, including design review meetings Support Certification and Qualification process Support Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.) Support transversal areas such as Services, Production, Procurement, etc. Background Knowledge on Surveillance, Air Data & Navigation Data systems. Knowledge / Understanding international regulations frameworks (STANAG, EUROCONTROL, ICAO, FAA, EASA). Skills and Experience : We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience : Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or development of Avionics System, preferably within Surveillance and Navigation System. Chartered Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent. Past experience with Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE' methods & tools (i.E. Mathlab). Knowledge on Surveillance, Air Data & Navigation systems. Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team. Good communication skills and pro-active approach to problem solving. Open-minded, agile, pragmatic & active to new challenges· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
