Custom Solutions Application Engineer is responsible for optimizing the proposed design, issuing drawings, preparing all RFQs to Pall suppliers, running all project mechanical clarifications with our suppliers, closing all technical bid evaluations with them, issuing the project firm costing, and leading the risk assessment.
He/She will work closely with other support departments to ensure readiness of the design, the costing solution, and drive customer satisfaction.This position reports to the European Custom Solution Manager based in France and is part of the Custom Solution Team (CST) located in Spain.
This will be an on-site role to cover Europe.In this role, you will have the opportunity to: The customer Relationships: Establish and maintain sales and key customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor, reliable on commitments for design or costing delivery.
The value proposition: Understand the client RFQ and scope requirements and set up the Pall Design value proposition in coordination with sales.
The custom Solution: With the technology and sizing defined, select the right design to fit with the client's specifications (To the Spec offer), and work closely with the rest of the CST team and the sourcing/operation team to lead the cost bridge reduction for all projects.
The technical expertise: Provide advanced technical support to customers, having deep knowledge of pressure vessel manufacturing in all steps, leading complex mechanical clarifications, and closing all open points before order.
