Overview: This role involves sourcing materials and components, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with project timelines and budgets. The Project Buyer works closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and project management, to support the successful delivery of automotive components. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute purchasing plans to support project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project specifications and timelines. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to supply chain and procurement. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company. Monitor and control project purchasing costs to ensure adherence to budgets. Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and components to the project site. Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier communications. Support the resolution of any technical issues related to procured materials or components. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience in managing purchasing for specific projects or programs. Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements. Familiarity working with Cost Breakdown, nominating suppliers for all components of the BOM, and following up from PPAP until SOP.
