Your Mission The Corporate Platforms team is responsible for enabling staff productivity through the use of corporate tools, process automation and reporting. This global team, spread between London, Malaga, Madrid forms part of IT Services.
In this role, you will ensure the operational success and continuous improvement of Jira and Confluence, maximising business value efficiently and ensuring an exceptional user experience.
Reporting to the Corporate Platforms Manager, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in administrating and optimising the on premises Jira and Confluence for a global technology company. You will bring excellent technical skills, a user-centric approach, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll do Customise and enhance the user experience of Jira and Confluence Configure and manage Jira to align with business processes within best practices Utilise your knowledge of the tools to troubleshoot technical issues and optimise system performance. Diagnose and resolve issues related to Jira and Confluence, both at the user interface and technical infrastructure levels. Analyse complex problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues to promote effective tool usage and best practices Propose innovative ways to utilise Jira and Confluence to solve business challenges and improve collaboration. Participate in IT Operations Management improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing Solution Delivery and customer satisfaction. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in IT Operations Management practices and tools. While this job description encompasses core responsibilities, it is not exhaustive. The role may entail additional duties to accommodate dynamic business demands and growth. What you'll bring 3+ years of experience as a Jira and Confluence system administrator using Jira software and Jira Service Management. Experience with Jira Data Center (on premises). Bachelors degree in Computer Network, Systems Administration or related degree. A deep understanding of the functionalities, features, and configurations of Jira and Confluence, both on the front end (user interface) and back end (administration, customization, integration). This includes software and JSM configurations, workflows, security schemes, fields, dashboards, reports, insight objects, and boards. Knowledge of back-end aspects, including databases, APIs, and integration. High energy and high enthusiasm with a strong desire to develop. Have demonstrable experience of maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of departments and levels of seniority. Good response under pressure and ability to quickly react to changes and to adapt strategies and priorities accordingly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communication technically and non-technically. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. A great passion for IT Operations Management and to forge a career in this field. Display an energetic desire for keeping up to date with innovations in this field, through self learning.
