AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.
As an Associate Solutions Architect within AWS Malaysia, you will collaborate with customers and other AWS teams to craft architectures, proof of concepts or demonstrations of our platform that work back from customer's business needs and accelerate the adoption of appropriate AWS technology.
Building relationships to understand our customers is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You'll help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals. Speeding up the adoption of our services will be part of your day to day.
You'll also act as an evangelist in the wider community. This includes taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops. You won't just want to be part of an industry movement; you'll want to be leading it.
As a Builder, you'll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesWork directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business needs, going beyond what they say and into what they really need, and develop new solutions that best match those needs.Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical challenges and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.Act as a thought leader playing a role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.Deeply understand AWS platform and architectural best practices. Also develop unique technical capability, be it specialized knowledge in a particular technical or industry domain where you will become a go-to person for both customer and your team.As a Builder, you'll shape the direction of our products and services through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.Minimum RequirementsExperience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps.Bachelor's degree.One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
