Offer Description Title: Research Talent. Collaboration agreement between the Department of Culture, Education and University and the University of Coruña (UDC) for the development of strategic actions at the Ferrol Industrial Campus 2024-2028.
Research line / Scientific-technical services: Development of strategic actions at the Ferrol Industrial Campus 2024-2028.
PURPOSE OF CONTRACT: Recruitment of 1 associate researcher with tasks specific to the category and in line with the fulfilment of the research indicators on which the Agreement is based, and in particular with the following functions:
Join one of the strategic lines of research of the CIF. Generate synergies with CIF researchers. Attract research personnel in training. Establish national and international collaborative relationships with research groups and individual researchers. Attend national and international calls that allow funding for research. Disseminate research results in national and international environments that adapt to the CIF indicators. Promote the development of research products (patents, software records) with transfer to the industry in accordance with the CIF philosophy. Publish research results in high-impact journals. OBJECT: This call for "Research Talent" aims to hire 1 postdoctoral researcher and is oriented at the incorporation into the CIF of doctoral scientists of any nationality who want to develop their research activity at the CIF, with projection and extensive international experience, under the sole criterion of excellence.
The objective is to support excellent science projects in those areas of special interest to the CIF due to their scientific projection, their emerging nature or their strategic consideration: industrial robotics, materials, optimization of industrial processes, naval and offshore engineering, industrial management and product development.
The contract will have a duration of 2 years and 9 months.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: During the duration of the contract, the researcher may remain outside the CIF for a maximum period of 3 months each year, upon prior reasoned request to the CIF management and the Vice-Chancellor of the Ferrol Campus and Social Responsibility. In exceptional cases, stays for longer periods may be authorized, always following a reasoned request from the researcher and for reasons of special interest for the development of the proposed research.
During the period of the research stay, the Ferrol Industrial Campus will take on accident insurance, civil liability insurance and, in the case of countries without agreements with the Spanish Social Security or when the coverage of this agreement is insufficient, medical assistance whose scope of coverage includes the country of destination. These insurances will cover the entire period of the effective stay.
RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE BENEFICIARY PERSON: Contract: the beneficiary researcher must provide the documentation necessary to formalize the contract in due time and manner. Annual reports: the researcher must send to the CIF (******) an annual scientific-technical report detailing all the activities carried out during the year. Final report: the researcher must submit to the CIF (******) a scientific-technical report before the end of the contract detailing all the activities carried out and the results achieved during the entire duration of the contract. Calls for excellent science: during the contract period the researcher must attend the regional, national and international calls for excellent science, as well as those promoted by the ERC, the Ministry of Science and Innovation in its state program to develop, attract and retain R&D&I talent or the Xunta de Galicia in its aid program to support the postdoctoral training stage or similar. The awarding of this contract does not establish any commitment regarding subsequent incorporation into the staff of the Ferrol Industrial Campus or the Universidade da Coruña. CONTRACT TERMINATION: The contract shall be terminated, in addition to the causes set out in the article 18 of the Regulations on the Hiring of Employment Staff in Chapter VI for research projects, grants and agreements, under the following circumstances:
Failure to comply with any of the obligations in point 7 of the hiring call specifications. Abandonment of the research project described in point 4.3.f of the hiring call specifications. The concealment of data, falsification or manipulation of the documentation or information requested with respect to that declared by the beneficiary for the assessment of his/her application. Minimum Requirements: Be in possession of a doctoral degree. Have completed pre- or postdoctoral stays for at least 24 months in R&D centres in countries other than the one in which he/she developed and obtained his/her doctoral degree. Not having previously been a beneficiary of any of the calls published within the framework of the "Research Talent" program of the Ferrol Industrial Campus. Additional Information Eligibility criteria: EVALUATION CRITERIA: Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Excellence in the scientific career (maximum 55 points). Internationalization (maximum 25 points). Ability to lead the line of research (maximum 20 points). The excellence and impact of the research project proposal, the coherence and feasibility of its development and implementation, the dissemination plan of the research carried out, the degree of transferability of the research and its potential impact on the indicators of the Ferrol Industrial Campus will be assessed.
