PURPOSE OF CONTRACT:Recruitment of 1 associate researcher with tasks specific to the category and in line with the fulfilment of the research indicators on which the Agreement is based, and in particular with the following functions:
Join one of the strategic lines of research of the CIF.Generate synergies with CIF researchers.Attract research personnel in training.Establish national and international collaborative relationships with research groups and individual researchers.Attend national and international calls that allow funding for research.Disseminate research results in national and international environments that adapt to the CIF indicators.Promote the development of research products (patents, software records) with transfer to the industry in accordance with the CIF philosophy.Publish research results in high-impact journals.1. OBJECTThis call for "Research Talent" aims to hire 1 postdoctoral researcher and is oriented at the incorporation into the CIF of doctoral scientists of any nationality who want to develop their research activity at the CIF, with projection and extensive international experience, under the sole criterion of excellence.
The objective is to support excellent science projects in those areas of special interest to the CIF due to their scientific projection, their emerging nature or their strategic consideration: industrial robotics, materials, optimization of industrial processes, naval and offshore engineering, industrial management and product development.
The contract will have a duration of 3 years with the possibility of a 1-year extension according to article 23bis of Law 14/2011 of June 1 on Science, Technology and Innovation.
2. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICSFunds available to establish a line of research:
The contracted researcher will receive complementary funds for the establishment of a line of research, for a total amount of 30,000 euros from budget heading 0902 541A 6400006.
The charging and approval of expenditure files shall be carried out in the corresponding financial heading according to the nature of the expenditure.
This additional funding will be used to cover duly justified expenses for:
The acquisition, rental, transfer and maintenance or repair of scientific-technical equipment, including computer equipment and technical computer programs, bibliographic material, consumables, supplies and similar products.The adaptation of scientific-technical infrastructures.Travel and subsistence expenses, registration and organization expenses for congresses, seminars and scientific conferences.Costs of use and access to unique scientific and technical infrastructures (ICTS) included in the map approved by the Scientific, Technological and Innovation Policy Council, and large national and international scientific facilities.Application costs and other expenses for maintaining industrial and intellectual property rights derived from the action, patent costs and technical knowledge acquired and obtained by licensing from external sources at market prices.Advisory and technical support services for research, innovation and transfer of results.Expenses for publication and dissemination of results, including those that could have been derived from publication in open access journals.Other expenses directly related to the execution of the activity such as use of central and general research services of the entity. All expenses will be directly related to the line of research for whose development the aid is allocated. This complementary aid must be executed and justified before October 31, 2025.Research staysDuring the duration of the contract, the researcher may remain outside the CIF for a maximum period of 3 months each year, upon prior reasoned request to the CIF management and the Vice-Chancellor of the Ferrol Campus and Social Responsibility. In exceptional cases, stays for longer periods may be authorized, always following a reasoned request from the researcher and for reasons of special interest for the development of the proposed research. During the period of the research stay, the Ferrol Industrial Campus will take on accident insurance, civil liability insurance and, in the case of countries without agreements with the Spanish Social Security or when the coverage of this agreement is insufficient, medical assistance whose scope of coverage includes the country of destination. These insurances will cover the entire period of the effective stay.
RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE BENEFICIARY PERSONContract: the beneficiary researcher must provide the documentation necessary to formalize the contract in due time and manner.Membership: the researcher must join the CIF and comply with all duties regarding the affiliation and visibility of the Industrial Campus according to the indications of the CIF corporate identity manual.Establishment of the line of research / stays, etc.: within a maximum period of 1 month from the beginning of the contract, the researcher must begin the administrative procedures necessary for the execution of the financing indicated in section 2 of this call. All acquisition and execution processes of the budget destined to establish the own line of research will be completed and liquidated by October 31, 2025.Annual reports: the researcher must send to the CIF an annual scientific-technical report detailing all the activities carried out during the year. The content of the report will make it possible to assess the fulfilment of the project with respect to the initially expected results, as well as the initiatives of the beneficiary to prepare and present applications for calls for excellent science.Final report: the researcher must submit to the CIF a scientific-technical report before the end of the contract detailing all the activities carried out and the results achieved during the entire duration of the contract.Calls for excellent science: during the contract period the researcher must attend the regional, national and international calls for excellent science, as well as those promoted by the ERC, the Ministry of Science and Innovation in its state program to develop, attract and retain R&D&I talent or the Xunta de Galicia in its aid program to support the postdoctoral training stage or similar. The beneficiaries of this program must justify with documentation to the CIF the submission of an application to these programs, as well as the result obtained from the selection process. The awarding of this contract does not establish any commitment regarding subsequent incorporation into the staff of the Ferrol Industrial Campus or the Universidade da Coruña.CONTRACT TERMINATIONThe contract shall be terminated, in addition to the causes set out in the article 18 of the Regulations on the Hiring of Employment Staff in Chapter VI for research projects, grants and agreements, under the following circumstances:
Failure to comply with any of the obligations in point 7 of the hiring call specifications.Abandonment of the research project described in point 4.3.f of the hiring call specifications.The concealment of data, falsification or manipulation of the documentation or information requested with respect to that declared by the beneficiary for the assessment of his/her application.
