Associate Project Engineer - Data Centre Construction - Madrid Our client, a developer of multi-customer and hyperscale data centres in Europe and Asia-Pacific, have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Engineer to join their current project in the Netherlands. They have a strong portfolio of constructing world-class critical infrastructure and are chosen time and again for their resilient power and cooling, robust security, and sophisticated monitoring systems.
Responsibilities: Set Client Technical Requirement (CTR) briefs for new projects.
Participate, where requested, in the identification and remediation of all actual and latent defects existing in the technical services infrastructure utilised in the regional facilities.
Undertake the preparation of regular independent assessments of the group's data centre technical services infrastructure's integrity, including the possible identification and remediation of Single Points of Failure.
Assist in developing capital project programs and budgets for new equipment and major repairs.
Participate in a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Review and evaluate the technical designs produced by external design teams and assist in ensuring consultants achieve cost-effective and resilient infrastructures.
Identify design key risks and ensure they form part of a project risk register.
Requirements: Relevant Engineering Degree or acceptable Engineering Diploma.
Knowledge of power and cooling systems in a data centre setting along with the other general services.
Understanding of data centre design parameters and efficiency metrics.
Business fluent in English with vocal and written skills with specific engineering terms.
