Associate People & Culture Business Partner
Location: $57,500 - $85,000 a year
Bumble is looking for a flexible, culture-centric, curious, and proactive Associate People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team, with a focus on partnering with our Finance and Legal teams. Based in the US, you will work closely with a team of People & Culture Business Partners and cross-functional People & Culture specialists, and will have a high level of autonomy for solving day-to-day people and organisational challenges with people-related solutions.
You will work closely with employees and managers to advise, challenge, and support them as our business continues to evolve. Bumble is growing fast, so the ideal candidate will be flexible and open to an evolving scope of work, with experience in handling international employment across multiple territories. This role will report to the Director, People & Culture Business Partner based in New York.
What you'll be doing:
Provide day-to-day support to Finance and Legal teams, including answering questions around policy application on specific employee cases, compensation discussions, driving talent and people development plans, and ensuring that day-to-day performance management guidance is provided to leaders.
Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers.
Work on a wide range of strategic people-related matters and projects including team structure and optimisation, employee engagement and retention, organisational culture, and change management.
Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits team to develop our compensation philosophy and other reward mechanisms, as well as advising leaders on the best compensation decisions.
Support performance management processes and initiatives; collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to design and implement new performance management workflows as part of our Workday rollout.
Partner with the broader People & Culture team on the design, implementation, administration, and management of people processes and systems throughout the organisation to build and maintain culture across our global team.
Advise and consult on the staffing strategy and hiring decisions of leaders and other key strategic positions in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team; support and drive succession and talent planning efforts that ensure teams have the talent needed to deliver on their strategy.
Manage a range of complex Employee Relations cases across multiple geographies including the UK, US, and Spain.
About you:
You will have experience working closely with a Finance, Accounting, and/or Legal function in startup or scale-up environments (additional experience in a larger organisation would be a bonus). You have solid knowledge of employee relations processes and relevant employment legislation (additional experience or knowledge of other countries would be highly advantageous).
