We're seeking an Associate to handle diverse work, including coroners' inquests, Court of Protection litigation, mental health advice, CQC inspection and professional regulatory advice.
The Team plays an important role in DACB's broader Health practice, which is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal adviser to the health and social care sector in the UK.

Main Responsibilities Handle a varied workload with an appropriate level of supervision.Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.Communicate effectively with a broad range of people including clients, regulators, courts and other stakeholders.Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training.Build an awareness of the Firm's other services and development of effective internal and external networks.Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.The Ideal Candidate An Associate or barrister with a demonstrable interest or previous experience in this practice area or related practice area. We do not expect candidates to cover the full breadth of work undertaken by the team, but we do require a clear interest in this area and enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the work we do.An enthusiastic and committed approach with an interest in developing expertise in areas such as health and social care regulation, coroner's inquests, mental health law, serious medical treatment, and information governance.Advocacy experience is an advantage (but not essential as training can be provided in this area).Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
