Job Description As an Employment Tax Associate, your main duty will be to act as the first point of contact for inquiries related to Employment Tax.
As you evolve into a Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with clients, guiding them through complex employment tax issues.
This role entails ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying opportunities for tax savings and operational improvements, and ensuring that Employment Tax practices are in sync with the broader business strategy and primary objectives.
Responsibilities Conducting tax briefings. Preparing and reviewing of tax computations - withholding tax computation, advance tax etc. Preparing, reviewing and filing individual tax returns. Assisting in advisory projects including technical research, drafting memo, presentations etc. Assisting in tax assessment including preparing the submissions to be made before the tax authorities and assisting in representations. Coordinating with the tax authorities and visiting the tax office for regular follow-ups, rectification, refund follow-up etc. Regular interaction with client contacts and expatriates. Qualifications Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of personal income tax, with expertise in expatriate tax considered an advantage, as well as familiarity with tax procedures related to these obligations.
Up-to-date knowledge of current developments in taxation and their impact on individual tax obligations.
Ability to coordinate and manage less experienced team members.
