.At ING we are looking for an Associate for Financial Institutions Your role and work environment : We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Associate to join our FI Sector Coverage Team of Wholesale Banking Spain & Portugal. ING Wholesale Banking Spain & Portugal stands for the FI customer business for ING Spain & Portugal. In addition to classic FI coverage, we advise our FI customers on sustainable and innovative financing solutions with the aspiration to always be a step ahead. Your key responsibilities : Support Senior Bankers in the origination and execution of new deals in Spain & Portugal and abroad with FI clients. Co-create commercial proposals (incl. profitability and capital consumption metrics), prepare long term commercial plans and elaborate, participate and / or coordinate (under the lead of a Senior Banker) the preparation of commercial pitches ranging from plain vanilla financing to multi-product / transformational pitches proposal. Support the preparation of credit proposals, support in the negotiation of the financing documents (under the lead of the Senior Banker), manage deal closing process in collaboration with back-office and support functions. Support collaboration with other teams, including Financial Markets, Syndications, Lending, Debt Capital Markets, M&A, Trade Finance, and Payments & Cash Management. Be the prime officer on a portfolio of loan transactions and take care of the monitoring of operational and financial performance, present credit / rating reviews, handle credit modifications and waivers. Contribute to credit, industry & market analysis. Support the team in various regulatory and general reporting requests including Know Your Customer processes. Reporting of commercial activity in our Relationship Management Tool (Salesforce), including among others preparation of call reports, and internal and external follow-up on business opportunities. What are we looking for? Degree in economics, business administration or similar. Proactive attitude. 2 / 3 years of professional experience in an operational role in banking, corporate finance or capital markets. Product and banking industry knowledge. Strong customer focus and entrepreneurial thinking. Solution-oriented, quality-conscious, and skills to work independently. Excellent presentation and communication skills (English and Spanish).
