Our Interbrand Madrid office is looking for an Associate Director Strategy to join the Strategy team temporarily to cover some projects. The candidate will lead and develop client projects and team capabilities in areas directly related to Interbrand offering (Human Truths, Economics and Experience) as well as be a key contributor to team culture and overall quality helping grow and maintain key clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Client work:
Lead and contributes directly to structure, content and delivery of documents for internal or client use (diagnostic, repositioning, brand architecture, etc).
Lead and moderate workshops (internal and external).
Act as key reference for client (trusted advisor) to help grow the relationship with new opportunities identified
Thought Leadership:
Contribute to IB intellectual capital and reputation.
Work periodically with strategy peers and across Group to share and extract relevant information from clients.
Collaborate actively with the Head of Strategy to foster a positive culture and power knowledge sharing
Team/Management:
Be able to lead a New Business presentation if New Business representative not available.
Manage senior consultants, consultants or analysts (coordinating, coaching, reviewing).
Lead the recruiting process: shortlist selection, interview and summary (enlisting and coordinating help from others when needed)
Actively collaborate with group companies: C-Space, Rep Institute to improve Interbrand´s servicing to clients.
Act as a reference for feedback from anyone in team (acts as informal mentorship for all).
Define appropriate team for project with the validation from Head of Strategy and coordinates project deliveries alongside Client Service and Design representatives.
Directly contribute to grow revenue streams (directly with New Business or otherwise).
Required Knowledge:
General business knowledge
Bilingual Spanish-English/ Excels in written and verbal English is a must
Degree in Business, Advertising, PR or similar
At least 8 years of experience in similar business
High degree of computer knowledge
Personal and professional skills:
Passionate about working with leading brands
Ability to collaborate across all functions within and outside the team
Self-starter, who is pro-active and can work effectively under pressure and speed
Delivers to excellence and good attention to detail
Naturally curious about consumer-facing issues and current affairs
Open minded and can bring a fresh perspective to a problem
