Role Overview
Ensuring strategic leadership and tactical implementation of Medical Operations objectives, based on medical affairs strategy and aligned with International Medical Operations and EMEA Medical Affairs goals. It is a unique opportunity in the Medical Affairs market where you will have a high impact on the organization with connections across the International and Global organization.
Core Accountabilities
- Shape and lead EMEA operational strategy, long-term planning, execution, and cross-functional interactions.
- Lead high performing Medical Operations team.
- Implement complex strategies to enable EMEA Medical Affairs goals, including globally aligned KPIs, quantitative metrics, analytics, reporting, and other infrastructure tools. Utilize innovation to solve complex problems.
- Oversight and co-ordination of EMEA IIT program, processes reporting and support FMAs in IIT associated activities, including IIT databases and associated documentation processes, contract systems, product supply process, vendor management, payments, and sharing of metrics and other reports.
- Oversight of EMEA Share of Voice activities, including co-ordination, tracking, and reporting of Congress and Publications.
- Responsible to ensure Medical Affairs strategies and tactics are realized for key EMEA Congresses, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders for planning and implementation of agreed tactics.
- Oversight and governance of EMEA Medical Affairs customer management system & related processes.
- Ensure vendor management and payment processes across EMEA are compliant, effective, and undertaken within relevant timeframes.
We are seeking:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a Health Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Previous relevant experience in Medical Affairs; knowledge and experience in all aspects of medical affairs, including clinical research, development, and investigator-initiated research.
- Proven ability to lead a high-performance team.
- Ability to read fluently, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Expertise in review/approval of content of documents for medical accuracy, including promotional material review process and systems.
- Project Management Experience.
- Cross functional collaboration with demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders using data and domain expertise.
- Contract negotiation experience and good understanding of vendor and payment processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Expertise in working in a multidimensional matrix environment.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is highly desirable.
