Associate Director Marketing MetabolicsLocation: Barcelona

This is what you will do:The Marketing Manager Metabolics will be supporting the Commercial Lead Metabolics by developing, executing and following on all local Marketing activities in order to expand and accelerate market penetration of Alexion, Astra Zeneca Rare Disease products. The incumbent will represent the Country/Cluster in all International Marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager Metabolics drives a product portfolio covering LAL-D and Neurofibromatosis Type 1 by setting priorities based on in-depth knowledge of the market and by ensuring the respect of any applicable local laws, regulations, Company values and procedures as applicable.
You will be responsible for:International Marketing ResponsibilitiesExpert for the local Brand and Member of the International Brand TeamContribute and provide support to the Commercial Director in the development of the long term strategic brand planDevelop and implement brand orientation, strategy and launch plans accordingly to International guidanceDevelop processes and tools to sustain best practices sharing; brings local market insights to the teamSupport the Commercial Director in the implementation of global/International marketing strategies and tactics within local marketRepresent the voice of the Spanish region and partner with the International team in the development of collaterals, e.g. product sell sheets, sales training materials, physician training materials, video production, etc.Local Marketing ResponsibilitiesDevelop the local long-range and annual marketing plansEstablish short and long range sales forecastImplement/execute the annual marketing plans including action plan and associated marketing budgetGather insights and share local market insights that will increase the customers valueDevelop and communicate appropriate key selling message, e.g. on product, market, clinical, competitive informationSupport field teams execution of promotional events from concept design to content delivery (including congresses organization and documents warehouse management)Manage advertising and other support agencies in implementing global communication tools and in developing local marketing materials, including promotional materials for the field team.Develop a digital plan for the Metabolics Portfolio.Compile product overviews for physicians, sales reps and medical staff in the clinical environment or during training events to increase brand awareness and product knowledge.Proactively collaborates with cross functional colleagues in sales, market research, market access, medical affairs and other departments to better understand and address the needs of our key stakeholdersParticipate in local advisory board meetings with key physicians and other HCPsManage and develop positive relationships with new and existing Key Opinion Leaders and Medical SocietiesEstablish and maintain quality and trustful contacts within the relevant medical community, with opinion leaders, influencers and deciders, in compliance with local requirements: have frequent contact with field team, HCP and KOLs (1 per week)Participate in the development of sales training for field force; maintain active communication with the field to better understand needs, issues, and opportunitiesHire, lead, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals and trainees, where appropriateExcellent organizational and management skillsOversee program success metrics, share learnings and best practices within the organizationSupport internal submissions and reviews (e.g. medical, regulatory or legal)Maintain regular communication with field sales and sales management to better understand current market conditions and needs of the sales teamsPartner with sales organization to ensure optimal communication of the HCP materials and messages to field sales forceYou will need to have:Solid marketing experience acquired in the pharmaceutical or biotech industryManagement and launch experience, and rare disease experience a definite advantageExperience with leading cross-functional teams.
