Mission
Reporting into Global NPP & GMI Director, this role is responsible for identifying unmet needs and commercial insight of the Rx Dermatology market and, based on these, proposing and substantiating the consequent value propositions and overall pipeline strategy for the indications of responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Together with the rest of the Global Innovation & NPP Department, provide commercial strategic direction to BD and R&D to develop a robust and innovative pipeline in Rx Dermatology
Provide strategic input for the prioritization of our Global Rx Indications of Focus, identification of unmet needs and development of EDRs (Early Disease Roadmaps) and TPPs in its areas of responsibility.
Collect strategic insights putting customers at the center (HCPs, patients and payors) to ensure we are providing value to all of them. Co-lead market research with HCPs and payors, contact and collaborate with patients associations and lead consultancies and advisory boards with KOLs. Share key insights across the organization.
Co-responsible, together with the Global Market Insights team, of the evolution of the CMO team from a data-driven to an insights-driven team to improve decision-making, drive innovation and foster business growth.
Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop competitive landscapes of high interest indications to enable Almirall positioning to bring to market innovative products that cover unmet needs
Co-lead the DermaTAG group as a forum to share knowledge, identify opportunities, discuss indications and EDRs
Lead Commercial Assessments and sales forecasts for stop and go decision for licensing in projects and present recommendations for top management
Develop a wishlist of licensing assets in key indications consolidating the scientific input from R&D and the actionability from Licensing
Lead Commercial Assessments and sales forecasts for stop and go decision for R&D projects until Phase III, and present recommendations for top management
Commercial representative in R&D project teams until Phase III, lead commercial insights and responsible for commercial transfer to Global Marketing.
Co-lead LCM (Life Cycle Management) opportunities in the areas of responsibility.
As part of a cross-functional team, co-responsible for commercial idea generation, LCM and new products aligned with identified patient needs applying innovative technologies (i.e. drug delivery technologies, digital health technologies, devices, etc.) in its areas of responsibility.
In cooperation with Global Market Insights team, co-lead the market research generation and the collection of competitive Intelligence information for its indications of responsibility.
Maintain permanent contact with all top markets (US, Top 5 EU) and attendance to congresses, symposia, etc. in order to stay attuned to market needs and facilitate interaction with key customers (ex: Key Opinion Leaders).
Maintain updated contact with latest market trends, novel technologies, opportunities, etc. in the areas of interest.
Always contribute to the creation of a working climate that encourages collaboration and trust across functions and geographies.
Member of key R&D and Licensing Committees.
Education
University Degree in Health Science such as Biology, Medicine, Pharmacy or similar is desirable.
MBA, Master in Business Economics or similar are desirable.
Complimentary studies in Dermatology are desirable (related to Immunology, Rare diseases and/or Dermato-Oncology is a plus)

Experience
At least 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in Dermatology and Biologics is desirable (related to Immunology, Rare diseases and/or Dermato-Oncology is a plus).
Experience in roles related to New Product Planning, Marketing, development and evaluation of unmet needs are desirable (for ex: roles related to Strategic marketing, R&D strategy or idea generation, Business Development, Market Research and Forecasting)
