Summary
Scope Ratings is looking for an Associate Director Corporate Ratings with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. You will take part to and lead in complete autonomy credit rating committee for the assignment and monitoring of corporate ratings. In this context, you will analyse complex non-financial corporates, and write insightful credit research. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to lead operational review visits and take part in meetings with investors, issuers and arrangers.
Duties & responsibilities
Perform analysis and conduct credit research on a diversified portfolio of Corporate credits on a broad range of high yield and Investment Grade Corporates.
Monitor existing ratings and if necessary, recommend reviews and changes on a timely basis.
Present to and participate in rating committees.
Act as communication point-of-contact between Scope Ratings and customers and interact with senior executives (CFOs, CEOs, Treasurers, Investor Relations).
Conduct discussions with clients and investors, as well as giving presentations, explanations and briefings at a highly professional level.
Produce high-quality, insightful and forward-looking research and analytical comments on a timely basis.
Act as a representative for Scope towards media.
Enhance Scope's analytical capabilities and methodologies.
Engage in investor, issuer and arranger outreach, presenting and explaining Scope's analytical approach.
Work closely with other Corporates team members, staff and management in Scope Ratings.
Minimum 5-12 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (e.g. a large rating agency, an investment fund or investment bank), that reflects analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of non-financial corporates.
Experience in analysing high-yield issuers with complex financial structures is a plus.
Master's degree in finance, banking, economics, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent qualification, CFA charter is a plus.
Willingness to take responsibility with an entrepreneurial attitude. Accountable and reliable person of the highest integrity.
Proven record of conducting and writing thought-leading insightful research.
Strong team player, confident and professional appearance and high social and communication skills.

Extensive sector knowledge is a plus.
