We are looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel to support the AWS sales and marketing teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic technology service agreements with enterprise customers and partners and provide legal support for local and regional services and initiatives. The role will also involve ongoing legal counsel and regulatory interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members on a variety of product development, operational, security, compliance, and public policy matters. The role includes participating in other legal team projects, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling customer and client inquiries.We are looking for candidates who have a builder's mentality and are innovative, progressive, hands-on, and highly customer-obsessed professionals. Developing innovative solutions, and solving novel problems and legal issues to better serve our customers and clients is part of our daily business.This role may be based in London, UK; Madrid, Spain; Milan, Italy; or Rome, Italy. Minimaltravel may be required.Minimum Qualifications:Exceptional academic qualifications.Significant post-qualification legal experience (2+ years) at a leading global law firm or in-house position.High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness and creative thinking, as well as a desire to be challenged.Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in Italian or Spanish.Familiar with cloud computing, IT infrastructure and telecommunications.In-house experience at a technology or internet company.Significant technology transactional and regulatory experience.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
