We are currently working on Project ETHOS, a new free-to-play, 3rd person rogue-like hero shooter and an exciting evolution on the genre!
What we need:
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Character Artist to join our team and bring expertise, motivation, and mature abilities. They will define, develop, and maintain high-end game characters. The Character Artist works closely with the Lead Artist, Lead Animator, Lead Technical Art, and Art Director, as well as with animators and cinematic editors to create the best possible impression in the final game.
Responsibilities:
Create the best possible 3D character high-poly and game meshes from concept art and reference materials, character textures and shaders, clothing, hair, and styling
Adapt to the concept and art direction of the project
Make proper character topology to keep the finished models working well in-game
Self-educate in terms of graphics and keep track of the latest trends in the given field
Required Qualifications:
Portfolio demonstrating strong artistic abilities
Demonstrable knowledge of technical and artistic skills
Knowledge of Maya (or 3ds Max or Blender), ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and Photoshop
Knowledge of human anatomy, facial expressions, and ability to capture personality
Knowledge of sculpting, drawing, or painting in the classic technique
Advanced written and spoken English
Good communication skills
Relevant experience:
Experience with Substance Painter and Substance Designer
Experience with Unreal Engine 5
Experience with some tracking/scheduling tool (Hansoft, Jira, Shotgun, Trello, etc.)
