Assistant Vice President, European Corporates, Private Credit Job description: Assistant Vice President - Private CreditMorningstar DBRS' Private Credit team is seeking a highly motivated individual with four to five years of experience in corporate credit analysis, preferably with high-yield issuers, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills to join its team as an Assistant Vice President. Working closely with the team leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of small to medium-sized, highly leveraged companies involved in various corporate sectors. The successful candidate will also interact with various participants in the private capital markets and research broader topics.Responsibilities:Assume surveillance coverage of a portfolio of small to medium-sized companies with high leveragePerform fundamental financial analysis and prepare rating committee packagesLead rating committee discussionsBuild and maintain relationships with market participants, such as lenders, investors, and bankersOrganize and track a large portfolio of credits and help refine work processesBuild and update related databases as requiredProduce timely, high-quality, and insightful credit analysis and researchQualifications:Four to five years of experience in credit analysis or corporate lendingBachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or another relevant discipline. Completion of the CFA program is preferredExcellent knowledge of credit analysis and capital markets, preferably combined with a sound understanding of high-yield/middle-market creditsFamiliarity with the legal documentation associated with corporate debt issuanceStrong analytical skills with thorough knowledge of financial statementsExcellent communication skillsSelf-starter and team player with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
