Offer DescriptionApplications are invited by the University of Alicante President for a fixed-term contractual position as an assistant researcher to collaborate in the project "Living laboratories for rural landscapes: integrating participation and innovation in the promotion of forest multifunctionality, biodiversity and bioeconomy" of the Ramón Margalef Institute for Environmental Research (IMEM). Reference: I-PI 103-24 Project BF296 funded by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Spanish Ministry of the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR. The successful candidate will collaborate in the research project "Living laboratories for rural landscapes" performing the following tasks:
Scientific-technical evaluation of the provision of ecosystem services and biodiversity in Mediterranean forest environments, using indicators of soil functionality, primary production and plant and animal diversity.Job ProfilePreference will be given to those with:
Experience and training related to the tasks mentioned above, including:Monitoring of vertebrate fauna.Evaluation of carbon sequestration services and beekeeping potential.Evaluation of soil functionality using nutrient conservation, infiltration and recycling rates.Knowledge of Catalan.Qualification: official Master's degree in Management and Restoration of Natural Areas (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) or any other with equivalent content.Requirements for ApplicantsApplicants must:
Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) plus an official Master's degree in Management and Restoration of Natural Areas (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) or any other with equivalent content.Hold a type B driving licence.Be a Spanish national or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of 30 October.Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions or tasks.Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from any Public Administration or equivalent.Full terms and conditions of this call can be found at the following link (IN SPANISH):
