Reference: I-PI 103-24Project BF296 funded by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Spanish Ministry of the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTRThe University of Alicante calls for applications to cover a job position in accordance with the following terms and conditions:First. Number of job vacancies and employment conditions of the contract: 1.1. Number of job vacancies: one.1.2. Job position: assistant researcher.1.3. Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.1.4. Remuneration: €1,460 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).1.5. Estimated duration of the contract: from the signing of the contract until 31/12/2025.In any case, the duration of the contract will depend on the duration of the project and the budget availability.Second. Purpose.The successful candidate will collaborate in the research project "Living laboratories for rural landscapes: integrating participation and innovation in the promotion of forest multifunctionality, biodiversity and bioeconomy (BF296)", performing the following tasks:Scientific-technical evaluation of the provision of ecosystem services and biodiversity in Mediterranean forest environments, using indicators of soil functionality, primary production and plant and animal diversity.Third. Job profile Preference will be given to those with:Experience and training related to the tasks mentioned in the second section of this call and to:Monitoring of vertebrate fauna.Evaluation of carbon sequestration services and beekeeping potential.Evaluation of soil functionality using nutrient conservation, infiltration and recycling rates.3.2.
