NoOffer DescriptionIdiPAZ seeks an Assistant Researcher for the Paediatric Molecular Haemato-Oncology Section, in a research project funded by the Community of Madrid in the framework of the Call 2023 for the recruitment of research assistants.
Co-funded by the European Union and the Europe Plus Social Fund, directed by Dr. Adela Escudero López INGEMM-IdiPaz-Universitary Hospital La Paz, Head of the Paediatric Molecular Haemato-Oncology Section (INGEMM).The candidate will be trained as an Expert in Genomics and Liquid Biopsy of Childhood Cancer to optimise the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of paediatric cancer patients.
He/she will mainly participate in the development of 2 projects: The IMPaCT PENCIL-SEHOP project, which aims to create a network of highly specialised centres to implement precision medicine in the field of paediatric oncology; and the ReALNet project, the national network of paediatric acute lymphoblastic leukaemia relapses whose objectives are the registration and genetic and functional characterisation of relapses to improve patient management.The selected person will perform the following functions associated with the position:Laboratory organisation and management (inventory, orders, etc.
).Shipping/receiving/processing of biological samples (fresh/frozen tumour, bone marrow, paraffin samples, peripheral blood, cerebrospinal fluid).Development of genetic techniques: RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR, qPCR, digital PCR, primer/probe design.Interpretation and classification of germline and somatic variants identified by NGS, submission of results, interpretation and preparation of genetic reports.Preparation and presentation of documentation in team meetings related to research projects: SOPs, interpretation guides, surveys, article writing, project monitoring reports.Communication and presentation of results/documentation in the different working groups of the IMPaCT/ReALNet project.Participation in other research lines of the group related to the objectives of the projects: liquid biopsy, search for genetic biomarkers and genetic/epigenetic characterisation of solid and haematological tumours in children.Participation in the dissemination and diffusion of results obtained from the projects (presentation of results at conferences, publication in scientific articles, teaching, training, etc).Where to applyE-mail: recursoshumanos@idipaz
