The primary function of the Assistant Manager, Accounting will be to oversee and control all in-countries finance & accounting activities. They will provide regional leadership to develop and manage compliance and controls within corporate and country requirements. Additionally, they will manage the country's implementation of all Finance & Accounting Global and local processes and requirements, as well as provide financial and accounting advice, guidance, and support to Corporate Services partners and BU Leaders.What you'll doOversees Accounting & all reporting for both Statutory and US GAAP requirements for the Spain entities (including GL, A/P, T&E, banks, A/R, payroll, monthly/quarterly/Year-end closing, annual reporting)Lead and coordinate preparation and execution of Month/Quarterly/Year-end accounting closing processLead preparation and execution of Legal financial accounts and any other Legal Finance reportingLead relationship with external Statutory Auditors and the execution of Legal Statutory Audits processesInternal control – enforce and control the application of global policies & procedures and ensure full compliance with country legal requirementsTax compliance: Lead preparation and execution of VAT and indirect tax returns – support Tax team to the execution of corporate Returns and any Tax Audits.Order-to-cash - provide support of centralized process for invoicing & collection- Provide guidance on country requirements to ensure full complianceSource-to-pay – provide support of centralized process for Procurement and Account PayableDrive continuous improvement and innovation by actively executing management initiatives and Controller's team projects while & developing and documenting all processesProvide guidance on local requirements to ensure they are effectively incorporated into accounting global processesExecute and/or support any special projectsWhat you'll needBachelors in Accounting or Finance, Masters or CPA preferred2-3 years of experience in a leadership role as part of a global multi-national company with experience leading small teamsStrong knowledge and understanding of Spanish GAAP Accounting Standards, good understanding of US GAAP, and knowledge of Spain VAT and Indirect Tax RulesStrong analytic skills especially for identifying root causes of problemsHighly skilled at organization and time management including prioritization of competing prioritiesFluent Spanish and excellent English skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and listening skillsExcellent ability to understand, document and improve business processesExperience supporting business unit line management in financial/advisory roleAbility to work autonomously, decision-making experience around complex issuesGrowth Mindset: champions and inspires other to change, drives and leads changeFosters long-term learning and development with focus on ensuring the right people are doing the right thingsProvides inspirational leadership by communicating vision for the teamWhat You Will GetAn upbeat, positive cultureIntegrity, objectivity, collaboration, results and a no-limits mindset are central to our valuesLimitless growth.
