The Role of Assistant Director of Engineering: We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Director of Engineering to join our team! This role reports to the Director of Engineering, and will be responsible for assisting the Director of Engineering in all aspects of the hotel and building maintenance; including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, ground care, parking areas, fire and safety.
Responsibilities will include talent leadership and development, ensuring execution and follow up of work, preparing requisitions for purchase and work orders, implementing preventative maintenance schedules, evaluating meter readings and consumption, and supporting the Safety Committee and the energy conservation program.
Our Ideal Assistant Director of Engineering candidate will have: Leadership experience in a hotel/resort environment and have expert technical knowledge of general building maintenance and environmental standards. Additionally, you will be a passionate and motivated leader with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, have the highest level of integrity and transparency, strong business acumen, an eye for detail, a passion for service, and a desire to promote a continuous learning environment that creates an atmosphere for professional development opportunities.
