As Assistant Director – Finance at EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), Malaga, you will combine our financial objectives with your accounting and leadership experience to provide an effective and robust finance function.You will actively involve yourself in the development and execution of the strategic planning for finance related matters. You will provide vision and leadership to a high-performing team, giving motivation, strategic direction and helping people build their skills.Functional ResponsibilitiesControllingDevelop action plans, implement new processes and dedicate or assign resources to tasks as appropriate to strengthen operations and controlProvide technical accounting/financial advice and knowledge to others within the finance disciplineResponsible for timeliness of monthly closing process, accuracy of monthly results and timeliness and quality of financial plans and forecastsResponsible for statutory accounting/audit/reporting/internal controls as well as reporting under IFRS for group consolidation purposes.Manage the corporate accounting functions, including payroll, AP, billing/AR, GL etc,Work in close coordination with FP&A team during monthly/yearly close, providing inputs during planning phase, etc.Identifies opportunities to save costsManage the treasury function, including cash flow forecasting and reporting, efficient working capital and cash management practicesDevelop local financial and accounting policies and procedures aligned to Global policies. Ensure adequate internal control systems and processes commensurate with the operational needs.Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. corporate law matters, income taxes, etc).Manage all tax obligations, including transfer pricing and other tax laws. Keeps up to date with new pronouncements and ensures all statutory requirements are met.
