Following our International Finance department expansion, Mindray Spain is searching for a high caliber, target driven, and results orientated Assistant Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Senior Accountant with production of finance and accounting information for our Spain subsidiary of Mindray Europe.
Essential Job Functions Accounts payable Vendor invoice checking and approvals via SAP Concur according to procedure, limits and approval process.Vendor statement reconciliation.Assist in coordinating with Shared Service Department in China who complete accounting processes for Spain Finance.Accounts receivableProcessing daily bank journals and weekly bank reconciliation.Assisting preparation of overdue AR customers for local collection in Spanish.Credit managementMonitoring and releasing sales orders in credit block.Maintain relevant documentation.Responsible for collection of receivables from customers.Contact customers by telephone and/or letter if necessary.Review customers' credit limits and accounts.Send monthly statements.Issue escalation or final notice letters.Deal with customers' queries.Prepare monthly tax and filings Employee Expense managementManage expense processing and approvals using SAP Concur.Prepare expense journals.Assist employees in understanding of expense policy and respond to queries as required.Assist with the control and management of company fuel cards & mobiles.Management accountingUndertake review of posting to general ledger to ensure correct classifications.Prepare accruals and prepayments.Manage fixed asset register.Assist in preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Assist Spanish Senior Accountant as required with month end close.Assist in filing of statutory documents.Other TasksAssist logistics/customer service with the management and control of inventory and undertake monthly finance stock check.Assist with internal and external auditors' requirements.Prepare ad hoc reports for local management and EU/HQ Finance departments.Qualifications and ExperiencePart qualified ideally working towards recognized Spanish Accounting qualification.Able to communicate both orally and in writing in English is essential.A keen eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines.Knowledge of SAP (desirable).A good understanding of Excel.
