Assistant Accountant

As the Assistant Accountant, you will support with tasks within the accounting department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded, managed, and reported.This role is based in our Sant Cugat office just outside of Barcelona. This is an office-based role, but with the possibility of some days working from home.Typical Responsibilities:Posting of journals as requiredP&L review and reporting to FP&AProfit and Losses and Balance sheet reconciliationsTaxes reporting, including reconciliation with accountancy and reporting of PIC Spain tax information such as:Intrastat349 modelReview of SII reporting and follow-up of the open incidencesYour Core Expertise:Proven experience within a financial role, with the ability to support the manager and interface with the rest of the Financial/Credit collection department with a proactive attitudeAbility to solve problems and a logical approach to tasksYour Additional Skills:MS Office/computer knowledgeGood finance knowledgeAbility to plan the workPositive attitude, accompanied by excellent organisational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise workGood interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood understanding of English, both written and verbal, is essentialYou Should Also Have:Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlinesTakes responsibility for managing and prioritising own work, with the resilience to work under pressureDelivery of results to deadlines, with a commitment to producing very accurate and timely financial informationA team player with well-developed interpersonal skills, able to ensure good team working and cooperationAnalytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse, interpret, and present financial and business dataAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills desirable
