The Asset Technician is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining company assets to ensure they are accounted for, properly maintained, and accessible when needed. This role involves organizing, monitoring, and auditing assets, such as equipment, technology or materials, to support the efficient operations of the organization. The Asset Technician works closely with internal departments to ensure the effective usage and longevity of assets while keeping accurate records in asset management systems.Key Responsibilities:Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:
- Record and track all company assets using asset management software.
- Perform regular audits to ensure accurate inventory counts and correct asset details.
- Monitor asset conditions and coordinate maintenance or replacements as necessary.Asset Deployment and Retrieval:
- Coordinate the deployment, setup, and retrieval of assets for internal departments and projects.
- Maintain records of asset assignments and oversee the return process.Data Entry and Documentation:
- Enter and update asset information, including purchase dates, warranty information, and location.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for each asset, including manuals, maintenance records, and depreciation schedules.
- Create and update asset reports as needed for compliance, audits, and internal reporting.Maintenance and Repairs Coordination:
- Work with external vendors and internal teams to schedule and track maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure assets are regularly inspected and maintained to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Manage warranties and service agreements to optimize repair costs and asset functionality.Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Track asset-related certifications, licenses, and inspections as needed.Required Technical and Professional Expertise:High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years of experience in asset management, warehouse, inventory control, or a related field.Proficiency with asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments.Ability to lift and move equipment as necessary, depending on asset types involved.Fluent English, written and spoken is a must.Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:Customer focused attitude with previous customer service experience.Able to work independently with minimal supervision and/or with a team.Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field is preferred.Required Education:High School Diploma/GEDPreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree#J-18808-Ljbffr
