Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor (Department Manager) We are looking for a Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor to join our team as the Head of the Tax and Accounting Department .
The role is based in our Santa Cruz de Tenerife office, working with an international client portfolio in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish accounting (PGC), tax preparation, and financial analysis, with hands-on experience in tools such as A3 Soc and Xero.
This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth based on performance.
The key points are: Oversee compliance with new invoicing regulations, including the Verifactu Challenge , ensuring the use of certified invoicing systems in line with the latest legal requirements.
Lead the implementation and management of systems that guarantee compliance with Ley Crea y Crece and reporting to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) .
Provide guidance and training to team members on adapting to new fiscal and invoicing regulations.
Responsibilities: Direct the new process for verifactu, training clients, employees, and managing the challenge of change.
Manage and oversee the department's accounting processes and client portfolios.
Prepare and review financial statements and cyclical audits.
Handle tax filings, including VAT, IS, IGIC, Intrastat, and others.
Create ad-hoc financial reports.
Conduct and review bank reconciliations and manage banking relations.
Ensure compliance with Spanish accounting standards (PGC) and international client requirements.
Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and tax consulting, ideally in a consultancy or international firm.
Proven expertise in A3 Soc and Xero.
Fluent in English (our primary working language).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on leadership and team management.
Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret financial data and produce high-quality reports.
Proficient in Google Workspace tools and general IT systems.
