We are seeking a new and experienced AI Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in researching, implementing, and integrating AI solutions across the organization, as well as fostering innovation through international collaborations and continuous learning.
The AI Engineer will work side by side with other researchers within the company as well as with the Product Owner(s) and the rest of the engineering team to ensure that products evolve according to client needs, market trends and the most up-to-date technological stack, which is crucial for business sustainability.
Responsibilities · Design and implement innovative AI-based solutions and methodologies to address business needs in meteorology and air quality.
· Conduct data collection, cleaning, and analysis to ensure high-quality datasets for AI models.
· Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI solutions into products and automate workflows.
· Plan and oversee AI projects, including estimating timelines and resources, to meet stakeholder expectations.
· Stay updated on AI advancements and apply state-of-the-art techniques to solve business challenges.
· Build partnerships with external professionals to exchange knowledge and tools.
· Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Support and mentor junior team members, fostering technical and professional growth.
Requirements · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience working in AI or machine learning roles, with a proven track record of deploying solutions in real-world environments.
· Experience in industries like environmental management, chemical, petrochemical, or mining is a plus.
· Experience working on projects involving meteorological or air quality applications is highly desirable.
· Strong expertise in AI techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic models.
Technical Skills · Proficiency in Python, along with experience using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Keras.
· Knowledge of data visualization tools and reporting techniques for communicating results effectively.
· Familiarity with numerical modelling approaches, particularly in meteorology or air quality applications.
· Experience in using AI to complement and improve numerical modelling tools is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills with experience in data correlation analysis and statistical modeling.
Soft Skills · Excellent communication to present complex technical findings to stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding.
· Strong organizational skills to structure methodologies and manage projects with clear milestones and deadlines.
· Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and project requirements.
· Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams and contribute to building a professional network for knowledge exchange.
· Fluent English and Spanish language.
