SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun, a leading multinational company in the coating industry, present in 100 countries and with more than 9,000 employees, is looking for an Area Sales Manager (North) for the following Customer Groups: Yard (mainly built and repaired ship, offshore structures, yachts, military vessels, cruise liners or other cargo or passenger ships), EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction of huge structures), and Applicator (comprehensive services such as blasting and painting, insulation, access solutions, surface protection, passive fire protection, electro-/mechanical).
The Area Sales Manager's main purpose is to support the management and growth of profitable business through a systematic and customized approach, spearheading customer relationship management and sales strategies within Jotun Marine and Protective (Performance Coatings Wet) targets to maximize mutual value for Jotun and the customer.
Geographical area: Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, País Vasco, Castilla León, La Rioja.
Responsibilities:
Develop and seek new business opportunities for the local market by targeting new customers to increase our market share and profitability.
Introduce, promote, and sell a range of segment(s) products in assigned geographical territories through regular customer visits to maintain good relationships and obtain market information.
Follow-up on projects within allocated geographical territories by coordinating and monitoring closely with project personnel to ensure Jotun products are used to achieve the sales budget.
Troubleshoot, resolve and escalate specific customer problems.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, good customer service, and achieve company goals.
Monitor collections to ensure customer payment is received within an agreed term to achieve budgeted days outstanding.
Execute assigned sales activities related to achieving currently given targets in terms of volumes and gross margins through customers by providing timely direct services to the customers to ensure that the company achieves overall profitability.
Responsible for the market mapping and expansion in the territory by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors to increase Jotun's market share.

Specific qualification:
Substantial sales experience.
Experience from anticorrosive paint is an advantage.
University Degree.
Proficient in English.
