DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE The main objective of the AREA MANAGER is to manage the sales network of the direct and franchising stores, with efficiency and profit.
The role includes managing the area of expertise efficiently and profitably, aiming at the development of sales and personnel, coordinating all operations, and providing necessary support for the resolution of potential problems with a constant presence in the territory.
KEY CHALLENGES Personnel coordination: Cares for the training of store managers and sales staff through assistance in visual, sales, stock management, and administrative management.Supports store managers in organizing and motivating staff, prioritizing newly appointed store managers.Participates in the recruitment process alongside store managers.Evaluates trial periods of staff in charge.Ensures the presence of store managers in training in line with the expansion policy and follows the training program in collaboration with the HR department.Ensures proper evaluation of store managers in training and sends related documents to the HR department.Proposes replacement programs for store managers in training.Responsible for staffing compliance with the corporate budget (only DOS).Identifies salespersons with high potential for professional growth.Periodically organizes meetings with store managers.Manages issues relating to staff (travel, holidays, permits, timing) (only DOS).Stores/Sales: Schedules regular visits to shops, at least once a month, and draws up a report of the commercial visit.Proposes strategies and action plans in line with the Operational Management Plan and coordinates implementation.Ensures store managers and sales staff provide excellent customer service.Analyzes market trends and competitor behavior, evaluating changes and devising strategic action plans to improve sales.Merchandising: Reports product requests and abnormal stock situations to Merchandising.Analyzes and evaluates main business documents (prosperity card, store report, weekly sales report).Creates reports on sales trends and product performance, including best-selling items and quality issues.Administration: Ensures smooth completion of administrative operations through periodic visits regarding bookkeeping, money management, and inventory control (only DOS).Checks compliance with legal obligations of personnel (payroll, matriculation, attendance sheets) (only DOS).Ensures training on safety, first aid, and fire prevention is provided and updated for staff (only DOS).Monitors administrative documents and cash periodically.Sends reports to the Store Operation department (only DOS).Monitors travel expenses incurred by staff in its area (only DOS).Organizes periodic inspections to ensure administrative compliance.Commercial Area: Checks product layout based on marketing inputs and maintains it.Ensures installation of windows and walls follows Visual Merchandising instructions.Territory: Assesses potential locations for new openings.Proposes replacement or renewal of existing stores with growth potential.Coordinates and manages organizational aspects of new store openings.Proposes closure of shops not meeting corporate benchmarks.Various Activities: Sends working program schedule to the Sales Manager.Participates in weekly audio conferences and periodic meetings.Organizes meetings in the head office to resolve store-related issues.CORE COMPETENCIES Delivers consistently by following departmental priorities and respecting deadlines.Pursues quality in tasks with attention to detail and information verification.Relates well to all organizational levels and external partners.Experience in coordinating and managing people.Knowledge of English.Leadership skills.Analytical thinking.Retail knowledge (background as Area Coordinator Senior and Store Manager).Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position.LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Mother tongue Spanish.English knowledge is a plus.
