Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business makes sure we fulfill and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers get their items on time. As an Area Manager, you'll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that maintains our operations' safety, efficiency, and quality while taking on various projects to drive productivity.

You'll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on driving a culture of safety and maintaining quality and shift performance standards. Your day will involve routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvements, and operational contingency tasks. You'll also serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.
About the team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of products to our customers. Our goal is to enhance our customers' delivery experience and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
Our 'under the roof' associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our people-focused and supportive team operates mostly on 24/7 shifts. Meanwhile, our 'on the road' personnel work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors, continually raising the bar for customer experience with innovative delivery services.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A degree.Relevant experience in people management.Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
