PMCM practice, as part of AECOM's Buildings + Places business unit, is actively seeking a highly talented Project Manager to support active and future projects for growing the team in Madrid.

As an experienced Project Manager , you will be expected to successfully manage, coordinate and deliver projects during the whole project life cycle: from initial inception, through the design, procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.
Job Main Duties Client Management and Relationship Building: The most important attribute for this position is a successful track record of growing and fostering relationships with clients leading to repeated work.
Builds, maintains and fosters positive client relationships.
Develop proposals, scopes of work and fees that meet the client's needs and expectations.
Client management services and relationship building.
Primary point of contact for projects.
Work with clients to be in a trusted advisor role.
Leadership/Team Management: This position will require the ability to lead multi-disciplinary and often multi-company teams to an integrated successful project execution.
Mentor and develop staff, providing leadership to complete complex architectural and engineering projects within an environment that cultivates teamwork, initiative and growth.
Supports teamwork and guides project teams on solving technical issues.
Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multi-disciplinary work.
Engage in multiple projects, supervise the delivery of scope, direction and coordination as necessary; identify change orders, or delegate portions of projects to deputies with active engagement in oversight.
Understand issues and proactively problem-solve, addressing issues in a timely and professional manner.
Develop and communicate staffing plans and workload expectations throughout the project duration while meeting project schedules and budgets.
Lead by example for safety and quality execution.
Review Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholders.
Project Management: Project Managers with the support of project controls are responsible for delivering business successes in addition to identifying and mitigating risk throughout the life-cycle of projects. Typical Project Manager duties for this position include:
Monitor and control overall project budgets and implement mitigation strategies when projects deviate from plans.
Work with finance and accounting, operations, department managers and managing principals for project reviews.
Manage change and exercise appropriate escalation to management as necessary.
Develop, maintain and track project schedule, project budget and risk register.
Prepare, coordinate and facilitate project meetings: Prepare and maintain the agenda with associated meeting minutes.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Qualifications BA/BS in Architecture or Engineering with +10 years (ideally 15) of relevant experience managing Architecture/Engineering Design Projects.
Fluent in English and Spanish languages (both oral and written).
Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of PM services within the Building and Construction sector.
Expertise to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients locally in Spain. International experience will be a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Strong sense of accountability with a drive to bring projects and teams to success.
Ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors with an understanding of how outcomes will affect the business.
Strong knowledge of in-house project finance management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera, familiarity with Revit.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Project Manager Status with the RICS, PMP or other equivalent institution will be a plus.
