Job Description
AECOM Buildings + Places is actively looking to hire a talented and creative Architect to become part of the exceptional Architecture & Design team based in Madrid.
As an Architect, you will be joining a highly motivated and proactive team, with multidisciplinary projects delivered across several geographies, with the potential to grow and thrive.
You will take part in the complete project life cycle, from early proposal stages, throughout the project planning, set up and execution, up to project closure.

Under the direct supervision of a Project Lead, you will perform the following tasks:
Conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
Prepare and revise documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of building systems and materials.
Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
Interpret and apply building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies.
Participate in the preparation of specifications and basic cost estimating.
Implement sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.
Support Project Lead in presentations creation.
Participate in design critiques and pin-ups.
Assist in site analysis, research of concept, benchmarks, typology, and precedents.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's in Architecture
+ 5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Proficiency in Revit
+ Fluent in English and Spanish languages (both oral and written).
+ German will be a plus.
+ Proven experience with other design software (Autocad, Sketchup, Photoshop, Rhinoceros, etc.)
+ Well organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Strong design and graphics skills.
+ Knowledge of space programming.
+ Affinity with developing details and experience in construction documents.
+ Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.
