We are looking for a team member to perform application deployments and support our software applications to internal and external customers. Working with a team to ensure software release and support across various environments is accomplished smoothly. This is a hands-on operational 24/7 role performing Tier 2 application support.
Some of your day will include: Work closely with operation engineers, QA and software development teams performing code releases across various environments. Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues during scheduled release cycles. Liaise with on-site and remote teams in support of software deployments & support of customer & internal applications. Working with team responsible for all production/non-production software platforms and ensuring a high availability operational status. Part of 24/7 Support for all production applications based on an on-call rotation with occasional deployment on off-hours. Provide input on production site uptime & stability. Manage the day-to-day operation of system monitoring operational tools. Actively participate in quarterly weekend releases. To apply for this position, some skills you will have: 2+ years of experience in: Hands-on software release role. Linux, Windows-based application programs. PowerShell or Linux shell languages. Open-source release software. Preferred experience in: Recipes and cookbooks using CHEF. AWS or equivalent cloud services. Pingdom, Jira, Splunk PRTG, AWS. Coordinating releases. Degree in Computer Science or related technical field of added work experience. Key Competencies: Nimble learner, always growing and gaining skills. Demonstrates self-awareness, able to take in feedback positively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with global teams. Calm demeanor to deal with technical and personnel issues. Ability to collaborate and build networks helping Technical leads to ensure proper design of solutions.
