The Application Engineer job is a technical role that involves managing day-to-day operations in our on-prem data center in all service delivery scenarios.This includes handling service requests, changes, incident and problem resolutions, and facilitating second-line support in productive environments. The Application Engineer collaborates closely with the IT Stack, Database Engineers, and development teams to ensure high-performance service delivery and improve processes through participation in new release deployments or implementing automation solutions.Responsibilities:Installation and deployment of software applications developed by the R&D team in different environments (test and production).Automating application installation and continuous improvement processes using Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes technologies.Troubleshooting application incidents and coordinating with other teams for database, infrastructure, or software issues.Performing health checks of services/solutions as required or on-demand.Providing input on future needs and new investments to maintain existing and future services to the Data Center Manager.Ensuring compliance with information security requirements in Service Operations.Evaluating, improving, and adding applicable instructions.Ensuring synergy and communication with development and other application teams globally.Knowledge and Skills:Required qualifications and skills include being licensed in IT or equivalent, having knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server), possessing technical expertise in software applications, familiarity with ITIL processes and Service Management, ability to work under pressure, a solution and process improvement-oriented mindset, excellent teamwork skills, adaptability to changes, ability to follow processes and work instructions, and fluency in written and spoken English.What's Great About Working with Us:Culture: Join a friendly team with different nationalities.Workspace: Open working space with best-in-class equipment including high-performance PCs and large monitors.Office Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 – 17:30, Friday 8:30 – 15:30 (with flexible hours on demand).Social Benefits: Continuous training and coaching, private medical insurance, transport ticket, in-house parking.
