The ANSYS Methods Developer is a member of the EMEA Field Engineering organization who is experienced in software development applied to CAE.
As a Methods Developer, you will work closely with our customers, leveraging internal technical and project management teams,
to facilitate the end-to-end delivery of our simulation workflows, solutions and customer specific software systems.
The delivery of these methods will include the elicitation, documentation and analysis of customers' business/functional requirements, system design and solution configuration, onsite deployment and implementation, user training and go-live support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWork in an agile environment to develop specific Ansys methods/solutions as per the customer needs.Propose, design, implement and maintain software components which meet project requirements.Actively participate in project planning, design brainstorming sessions and scrum meetings.Integrate various ANSYS tools as well as third party software into the platform to deliver innovative automated simulation workflows.Create and maintain appropriate testing strategies.Provide Customer Care, Professional Services, Business Support and Business Unit Assistance as required.Work with R&D teams to develop easy-to-use tools.Develop innovative solutions thinking "outside the box", prototype internally and let your ideas be known.JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSMS / MTech degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science or related field.A minimum of 3 years working on software development using Object-oriented languages such as Python or C#.Experience with ANSYS or any other related CAE tools.Experience with development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Git and MS Azure DevOps or others (Jira etc.
).Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English.Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSGood understanding of software architecture patterns and principles.Good understanding of Web architecture and Web API such as RESTful or gRPC.Experience with Software Development LifeCycle and DevOps practices.Experience using testing frameworks that can perform unit and integration tests, like pytest or moq.Knowledge of Agile methods - from being in an agile team to leading an agile transition in your company.Must have passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance.Must have customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus.Ability to travel up to 25%.
