The Group Finance Applications Team provides shared platforms and solutions for various Finance Functions, like Financial Accounting, Group Consolidation, Treasury, Actuary.
Our team is responsible for managing these Solutions through their Lifecycle:
Work on Projects and Initiatives to build and evolve Solutions, that leverage current technology stacks. Maintaining and Supporting Platforms and Applications to meet Business Expectations. Your role As Application Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional transformation team.
Within this important role, you will be responsible to continuously develop and provide support for a globally used Tax solution for our Business Stakeholders and grow into additional customer-facing support activities.
As an Application Developer for Longview Tax your main responsibilities will involve: Understand and maintain the current solution for Income Tax calculation (Cloud Technologies, Web-Application and Platform Support). Understand business processes and related functional components, dataflows and process steps. Work with the different Business, IT Support and Project teams on how to best fulfill business needs and to translate those into functional requirements and solutions. Develop and deploy changes, manage releases. Own the installation of Release Upgrades. Manage and resolve Incidents, ensuring the systems are running smoothly and effectively. Continuously improve and document the solution. To be successful in this role we expect you to Be curious and willing to learn constantly on the job about business processes, existing solutions and to get into rising technologies. Communicate remotely with business and IT stakeholders, developing and maintaining effective work relationships. Manage the daily work and tasks independently in a structured and efficient manner. Be able to work in an international virtual environment, with challenges of time-zones and multiple cultures. Be willing to gain new skills and experiences, but also share your knowledge across your team. Interact with suppliers and customers on a daily basis. Your Skills and Experience As an Application Developer for Longview Tax your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Minimum 3 years of total IT experience, preferably serving Finance departments. Bachelor's or master's degree in advanced-IT or equivalent. Proven experience in a similar role supporting web-based applications, Release Management and with Code Repositories such as Bitbucket. General IT knowledge in solution design, developing and database technologies. Experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure & AWS), Web-applications and related programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, .Net). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail. Ability to work in a reliable, independent and diligent manner. Proficient knowledge of standard Microsoft tools and Sharepoint/O365. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Fluent in English (written and spoken); capable to participate in meetings and to compose reports and technical/functional documentation. An advantage Experience with Longview Tax Application. Experience in the Finance Area, Financial Services / Tax / Financial Close and main accounting principles (IFRS, GAAPs). Understanding of ITIL processes (preferably ITIL Certified) such as Change Management, Incident Management. Experience with software tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence. What we offer?
