We work with clients to deliver certainty and maximize their return on investment, delivering effective program management, project and cost management and project controls services.Cost Management is a key service in the advanced manufacturing sector and we need the best talent to help our clients.As we move forward with the expansion of our European Industrials business, we now seek experienced Cost Managers/Quantity Surveyors who will join us in helping us deliver these demanding, high value, complex projects.Turner & Townsend are seeking Cost Managers to work in the construction of advanced manufacturing facilities, acting as the day-to-day interface with our clients helping to drive projects to achieve an excellent outcome. You will have worked on major construction projects in the Battery, Semi-conductors, Chemicals, Industrial, Manufacturing, Data Centers or Pharma sectors.This is an exciting opportunity to work in key sector projects with an impact and interact with global leaders within Turner & Townsend.Key accountabilities:Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents.Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place.Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.Inputting into value engineering; negotiating and agreeing final accounts.Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.Minimum Requirements:Experience in construction, industrial, battery, semi-conductors, pharma and/or manufacturing sector. Knowledge of MEP and clean/dry rooms is an advantage.Degree qualified in one of the following fields: engineering (construction related), construction management or quantity surveying.Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering
