DescriptionGeneral InformationAs R&D Engineer, you will join the Technology Center South Europe, part of the global Technology organization of Business Unit Transformer. As member of our R&D team located in Cordoba (Spain), you will contribute to the execution of projects involving diverse simulation types in power transformers (thermal, mechanical....)Your Responsibilities- Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers.- Lead and manage R&D projects self-driven on time, on budget, and with the required quality following Hitachi Energy internal standards and processes.- Maintain existing and develop new technical standards and design tools for transformers.- Transfer your knowledge and findings by elaborating reports, specifications and/or participating in educational programs.- Assess production processes and proactively identify gaps and areas of improvement.- Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise.- Develop, manage and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, Corporate Research Centers and external relevant parties (e.G. customers, universities). Providing proposals for possible partnerships.- Living Hitachi Energy 's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:- We are looking for a MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.- More than 3 years of experience, either in R&D projects, engineering or University research.- Knowledge in CAD modelling software ( CREO, Solidworks, Solidedge)- Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.G. fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations), proficiency in use of commercial simulations tools (e.G. Ansys, Fluents, CREO) and implementation of own solutions shall be well valued.- Knowledge in 3D printing techniques.- Excellent abilities in teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal skills.- A structured, problem-solving, self-driven, solutions-oriented approach- Strong communication skills.- Spirit of innovation, out of the box thinking.- Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.#J-18808-Ljbffr
