The Role Tradition is looking for a skilled DevOps and Platform Delivery Engineer to join our team in Madrid. Our Business TraditionData is a division of Tradition that provides consistent, high-quality financial market data that reflects real price interest in global OTC swaps markets, covering Interest Rate Derivatives, Energy & Commodities, Credit & Fixed Income, and FX & Money Markets. Responsibilities Lead the efficient delivery of market data to our clients, providing expert support for infrastructure issues and collaborating with major vendors. Manage a demanding queue of requests and incidents, prioritizing effectively and working with global teams to ensure seamless resolution. Accurately deploy and maintain complex systems, meticulously documenting procedures. Utilize Linux proficiency to analyze and diagnose issues across development, QA, UAT, and production deployments, collaborating with network and infrastructure teams. Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, demonstrating hands-on expertise. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven record of accomplishment of delivering timely solutions. Proficient in Red Hat or Debian based Linux distributions. Excellent proficiency with Bash, Python, GitLab, and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet. Commitment to automation and templating across all processes. Comfortable managing heterogeneous stacks, including cloud providers such as AWS, on-premise virtualization (VMware ESXi/vCenter), and containerization technologies (Kubernetes with KubeVirt, OpenShift, or Rancher). Experience with various database technologies (especially PostgreSQL) and ideally some exposure to time-series databases. Familiarity with time-series databases (Velocity, OneTick, kdb or QuestDB) or experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch would be advantageous. Experience in managing customers using FIX, ETA/UPA or WebSocket API market data protocols would be advantageous. This position entails working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch each day. Occasional out-of-hours and/or weekend work will be required. Based out of our Madrid office.
