Description: The SCM Sustainability strategy consists of three pillars: Supplier sustainability, material sustainability, and material compliance. In the SCM Material Compliance lead role, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products comply with applicable regulations and standards globally in a very dynamic environment. You will be working closely with the Global Portfolio team, the Transformers Business Unit Sustainability team, and Global/Regional Category managers.Your responsibilities:Play a leading role in the seamless integration of the Material Compliance strategy and initiatives with the overall SCM Sustainability Strategy and SCM Business Unit supplier engagement strategy.Contribute to the overall SCM Sustainability strategy creation.In collaboration with the Global Portfolio team and the Global Hitachi Energy SCM team, monitor major legislations and industry standards and bring clarity of the requirements to the SCM teams.Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with Category managers, Global Category managers, and the SCM Material Sustainability lead.In alignment with the Global Portfolio team and Global/Regional Category managers, define annual targets, monitor the progress, and provide regular reporting.Create the SCM BU level standardized process flow for material compliance requirements.Support the Global Portfolio team with the execution of regulatory compliance processes and related continuous improvement initiatives (as per need).Support the design, testing, and implementation of global compliance processes and tools.Develop and organize relevant trainings for the SCM community and build best practices among categories.Support with the guidance to suppliers (as per need) in collaboration with Global/Regional Category managers and the Global Portfolio team.Your background:More than 10 years of experience in an equivalent industry.Previous leadership experience in strategy/roadmap creation in supply base management and/or in Sustainability.In-depth and successful experience of implementing global programs in large, international organizations, preferably with a focus on Product Material Compliance and Supplier Sustainability.University degree in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related field.A strong knowledge of global environmental regulations, including SCIP, REACH, RoHS, TSCA.Familiarity with materials declarations and product labeling requirements.Customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships and inspire others.Leader with strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills in global industrial organizations.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work closely with large and complex remote teams and in a multi-country & -cultural environment.Knowledge of SAP Ariba, SAP4 Hana is a plus.Advanced in MS Office tools utilization (Excel & PowerPoint).
