About The Role With tens of millions of visitors every week, we strive to be the best in the industry for our users. You'll be responsible for taking ownership of our existing Android applications implementing new features, building new UI pages, testing the applications and releasing into new regions to align with our growth plans all whilst working with a Globally spread team.
Your Day-to-day Take ownership and responsibility of our existing Android applicationsFacilitate and release new versions of apps in several new regionsBuild new end to end features on our platformsCreate new UIs to stay on top of various sporting events Globally (World Cup, Football Euros, Olympics etc)Our stack: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Jenkins, Glide, Git, ExoPlayer, MVVM
You should apply if you have 3+ years experience writing clean code in Kotlin or Java for Android applicationsEnjoy working on mobile apps at all levels from networking up to user interfaces and everything in betweenExperience with mobile application architecture, including data modelling, networking and data synchronization and concurrencyExperience with multithreading programming and mobile memory managementSporty is an English speaking working environment, so we are looking for English speakersOur interview process involves 3 main stages: Hackerrank test (Maximum of 90 minutes)A call with a member of our Talent teamFinal interview with our Android Engineering team (You'll meet with 3 engineers on separate occasions for 45 minutes each)We can confidently say that we have a feedback loop of 24-48 hours on all stages, so you'll never be left in the dark when you're in process with us.
