New businesses continue to enter the market to provide new services including payments with a swipe, tap, chip and pin, through a dongle and other technologies.
These new companies are creating change in the industry by simplifying the merchant experience and have expanded the market to smaller companies that previously did not accept credit cards.
American Express' Global Acquisition Capabilities business is responsible for third-party acquiring partner enablement, oversight, and acquisition operations and capabilities.
How will you make an impact in this role? This position is an exciting opportunity for a candidate seeking to utilize their expertise in certification testing, project management, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and relationship skills, while working within a fast-paced, dynamic team.
The selected Analyst will be part of the Partner Enablement team, supporting external parties to understand and develop the technical requirements of the Europe Payment Facilitator and MRPS programs, mainly across the EMEA region.
This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining test plans, ensuring Amex test systems are ready for certification including accounting for partner nuances, and will lead certification efforts with said external parties and their processors.
This individual will work closely with external partners and several internal constituents including local Global Merchant Services groups, Payment Consultants, Global Certification Services, Network Solutions and Operations, and Global Services Group.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Job Responsibilities: Support new Payment Facilitator partner certification and bi-annual certification efforts including developing test plans and walking partners and their processors through test conditions.Development of partner testing kick-off presentations to be utilized to gain internal and external alignment on test timeline, approach, and expectations.Own the setup of the Amex Test System (ATS) to ensure readiness for certification testing, to include connectivity setups, profile creations, table updates, and data validation.Own execution of certification testing, validation of test case completion, and assisting in resolution of issues that arise during testing.Develop and maintain supporting documentation to be leveraged by Enablement Managers, including implementation checklist, test conditions, and other required documentation for launch.Effectively collaborate with Enablement Managers and other supporting business units to maximize partner testing and ensure project timelines are met.Identify and execute on opportunities to drive efficiencies within the partner testing process.Provide additional support, as needed, to the Managers on the Enablement Team.Develop, implement, and maintain a testing scorecard for each partner throughout the test phase life cycle.Minimum Qualifications: Required ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish fluently.Demonstrated track record of overall end-to-end test phase management, including test planning and creation of data requirements.Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.Strong attention to detail to minimize rework.Strong relationship-building skills.Experience testing with external parties preferred.Experience working with Genesis and SEIMs preferred.Energetic self-starter with proven business maturity, professionalism, thought leadership who can work independently in a team environment.Demonstrated written and oral communication skills to engage and inspire others to support critical project timelines.Collaborative skills with an ability to lead and influence to meet objectives.Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
