At ING we are looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst Your role and work environment: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Analyst to join our Corporate Finance Team in Wholesale Banking.
The responsibility of this team is to lead the origination and execution of advisory transactions in the context of relevant corporate events such as acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, restructurings or IPOs.
In line with ING's strategy, we are looking to grow further our Corporate Finance franchise in Madrid. Priority sectors are Renewables, TMT, Financial Sponsors and Food & Beverage.
While there is a preference for Spanish-speaking talent, ING is open to recruiting the best European talent willing to relocate permanently to Madrid. Geographical focus of the new hires will be EMEA.
Your key responsibilities: As part of a larger transaction team, the Analyst will play the following relevant roles:
Marketing efforts including: (a) drafting marketing materials including company profiles, pitch books and presentations; (b) perform detailed financial analysis of target companies including valuation; and (c) market research and competitor analysis. Deal execution including: (a) valuation techniques (financial modelling, comparables, WACC) and financial analysis; (b) key transaction administration (data room, Q&A, meeting coordination, etc.); (c) day-to-day process coordination and communication with clients and other advisers; (d) assisting in the drafting of transaction documentation; (e) support on the processing of documents for internal project approvals; and (f) lead post-closing internal administrative tasks. Other: monitoring sector information and collection of market data and dynamics. General support of the senior team. Guiding interns and helping other junior analysts as appropriate. Ideally 2 to 3 years of professional experience in M&A or Debt Advisory, transaction advisory services or other similar advisory roles in Corporate Finance. Ability to initiate detailed financial and business analysis and full understanding of process and materials general requirements required in M&A transactions. Basic financial valuation and modelling skills (DCF, Precedents, comps). Genuine interest in Corporate Finance and have the ability to earn trust and respect of clients, colleagues, and senior management. Previous international professional experience will be valued. Proven track record in sector such as Renewables, TMT, Food & Beverage or Financial Sponsors will be considered. Fluent in English, spoken and written. Other languages will be a plus. Strong communication skills. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other similar education which comprises financial and numerical knowledge.
