Join our team as an Airworthiness and Certification Engineer and take on the challenge of ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. As part of our dynamic company, you'll interface with Airworthiness Authorities such as EASA, FAA, AESA, and others, defining strategies to achieve certification for large UAVs using STANAG-4671, MIL-STD-516C, and relevant directives. Your responsibilities will include: Defining, releasing, and executing Airworthiness Plans and Processes for European Operations. Act as main point of contact and liaison with the airworthiness authorities and airspace owners. Proposing Airworthiness Requirements, and means of compliance for various programs. Leading the collection and review of system artifacts to demonstrate airworthiness compliance. Reviewing and approving supplier artifacts supporting system-level airworthiness. Achieving certifications in DO-178C, DO-254, and similar standards for proprietary airborne software and hardware. Defining and releasing Declaration of Airworthiness for UAS experimental certificates. Collaborate/influence in the development of Airworthiness directives by Regulators (Airworthiness and ATM). As part of the position you will also support the Systems Engineering Design assurance process and the development of different aircraft systems through requirements capture and verification. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field. Experience leading aircraft/rotorcraft to certification by recognized aerospace standards. Lead engineer experience in design and development of certified components, subsystems, or systems. Detailed knowledge of general aviation legislation. Previous Design Assurance experience. Flight Operations experience and airspace knowledge. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Spanish. Experience with ALM tools such as Polarion or Doors. Preferred Qualifications (Any of the following are Assets) Master's degree in Engineering or Related Field. Past connections with certification/airworthiness authorities: EASA, FAA or military entities. Experience leading certification of UAV systems. CVE or DER experience for avionics and/or structures.
