We are looking for you as an Airfreight Operations Clerk at DB Schenker in Spain (Alicante, Valencia or Madrid).
Role Mission
Serving our customers by maintaining frequent contact to build strong relationships, and ensuring we fulfill their requirements to operate shipments accurately and on time, according to our routemaps provided by Cargo IQ.
Your tasks:
Follow operational processes and corporate/internal SOPs, ensuring compliance with corporate KPIs and SOPs.
Manage the process flow in the TMS accurately, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and at the lowest possible cost.
Prepare, handle, and process necessary documentation (air waybills, commercial, customs/regulatory documents).
Track and trace cargo accurately, and provide shipment status updates to customers.
Coordinate with transporters for timely cargo delivery and monitor ATA/ETA with airlines.
Provide customer quotes, dispatch import arrival notices, and resolve issues related to cargo shortage, damage, or claims.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, addressing any discrepancies, and meeting client requirements.
Your profile:
Academic background: Diploma, Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in Spanish and intermediate English
Knowledge of logistics
Strong customer service skills
The position can be based in Alicante, Madrid or Valencia.
